Today, as we speak I am in Amsterdam enjoying a few days of musical madness – including a string quartet at the NDSM area this morning, a mini-opera in the Museum van Loon, and the annual Prinsengracht concert this evening. By Sunday I will be completely in the know about all things musical in Amsterdam and will be able to give you some valuable insights into where you should go.
This week has been fun – on Wednesday I met up with Beryl from Trip Organiser, and had some delicious lunch in Ultimo. That same evening I hosted a meetup with two other bloggers and writers who live in Amsterdam – Eva, who runs Amsterdam Guru, and Jessica who is a local Amsterdam expert for 10 best. We were in Cafe de Jaren, which is one of my favourite places to go. Nachos were the order of the day and I was absolutely starving. It’s a shame I couldn’t stay longer.
Yesterday was one of the highlights of the week for me – I’ll be blogging a little bit extra in the next few weeks so you’ll be able to see more of what I have been getting up to, but I went on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Muziek Theater, which I loved, and got to have dinner on the canals and we were treated to a variety of different music that was played on boats in the middle of the canal.
Things I have loved this week
Scoring a table on the terrace at Cafe de Jaren for my meetup, and enjoying some lovely Nachos. Excellent choice ladies.
