Buying Christmas gifts can be tricky at the best of times, especially when they don’t know what it is that they want. What can you get for someone who just loves Amsterdam? I set out on a mission to find 5 of the best Amsterdam-inspired presents to give to your nearest and dearest this Christmas. Finding just five was a tough challenge (being ruthless was hard, but it helped)
So here is my gift roundup for 2013
This adorable necklace is so cute. I love the little tulips in the heart – I really couldn’t resist putting it on my gift list (I think I might want this for myself.)
I love this Scotch and Soda tee. Normally I hate any clothing which blaze references to Amsterdam all over them(those hoodies with I heart Amsterdam – I just don’t get it), but this one is subtle, and also cool.
For the foodie
If they have ever uttered the words poffertje, stampot or kroket, then you should get them a Dutch recipe book, this way they can enjoy Dutch food all year long. This one has my favourite recipe – poffertjes. Make sure they try them out on you!
For the Amsterdam visitor that just keeps on coming back
Ok, so you don’t need to learn Dutch when you’re a visitor, but if they keep on coming back then this might be the perfect present. This is the book that one of my friends uses to teach Dutch to beginners, so I know it’s a good one. It even has audio CDs to go with it.
For the book lover
This book is the best book about Amsterdam. You want to know all of Amsterdam’s little secrets? This book has them all, so whether you’re looking for something to do that’s a bit different, or just enjoying the read this book is for you.
I know that three of these gifts are books, but they are all awesome presents, and unusual gifts to give. If you order any one of these through my site (just click on the picture), I will get a small commission, so thankyou in advance.
See you again on Saturday.
